  • Me: God, can I ask You a question?
  • God: Sure
  • Me: Promise You won't get mad
  • ...
  • God: I promise
  • Me: Why did You let so much stuff happen to me today?
  • God: What do u mean?
  • Me: Well, I woke up late
  • God: Yes
  • Me: My car took forever to start
  • God: Okay
  • Me: at lunch they made my sandwich wrong & I had to wait
  • God: Huummm
  • Me: On the way home, my phone went DEAD, just as I picked up a call
  • God: All right
  • Me: And on top of it all off, when I got home ~I just want to soak my feet in my new foot massager & relax. BUT it wouldn't work!!! Nothing went right today! Why did You do that?
  • God: Let me see, the death angel was at your bed this morning & I had to send one
  • of My Angels to battle him for your life. I let you sleep through that
  • Me (humbled): OH
  • GOD: I didn't let your car start because there was a drunk driver on your route that would have hit you if you were on the road.
  • Me: (ashamed)
  • God: The first person who made your sandwich today was sick & I didn't want you to catch what they have, I knew you couldn't afford to miss work.
  • Me (embarrassed): Okay
  • God: Your phone went dead bcuz the person that was calling was going to give false witness about what you said on that call, I didn't even let you talk to them so you would be covered.
  • Me (softly): I see God
  • God: Oh and that foot massager, it had a shortage that was going to throw out all of the power in your house tonight. I didn't think you wanted to be in the dark.
  • Me: I'm Sorry God
  • God: Don't be sorry, just learn to Trust Me.... in All things , the Good & the bad.
  • Me: I will trust You.
  • God: And don't doubt that My plan for your day is Always Better than your plan.
  • Me: I won't God. And let me just tell you God, Thank You for Everything today.
  • God: You're welcome child. It was just another day being your God and I Love looking after My Children...

Chewy Choco and Cheese Cupcakes

Since it’s my cousin’s graduation today, I decided to make cupcakes at home for the first time. We did this in class last Saturday and they were good.

To test my skills, I tried doing them myself (with the help of Jhud, of course).

I decided to use the recipe I found in Allrecipes.com because the recipe given to us was expensive and produces more cupcakes. Since I only got one tray, I managed to make 16 cupcakes..(My brothers and I ate five of them…) ^_^

I divided the recipe into two, one for chocolate, other for cheese…

I say they aren’t bad for a first time ;) Unexpectedly, they turned out to be chewy and not so sweet..I substituted white sugar to brown since it was available…Instead of putting frosting, I just dusted them with confectioner’s sugar :D

I have to do more to perfect them :) I am on my way to become the cupcake diva! (Chos!)

Roxanne’s Naughty Night!

March 24, 2012

It was a great night and my friends and I celebrated her 24th birthday! We went to this Chinese restaurant, Grab a Crab, for dinner with her family.

Roxanne at 24

BFFs Kara and Roxanne

Us girls with the birthday girl…

Roxanne with a cutie pie…haha!

Kristelle and I..

So candid..^_^

Joanne with my fours seasons…It tasted weirdly good..haha

We snatched the birthday girl for a surprise! The venue of our surprise was in a KTV in Sun City Suites called Music City KTV.

We had her blindfolded…It was really funny because she was panicking and we were all laughing at her!

That’s my Korean-inspired outfit!haha An oversized long sleeves, black leotards (it was raining that night!) and my very comfy suede wedge, bag from my Mother’s collection!haha

It was indeed a fun time! There are more pictures to show how fun that night was! Kara made us played 3 ‘naughty’ games. It was like Roxanne’s getting married the next day because the theme of the party was a bridal shower. I can just imagine if ever anyone from us gets married..it would be absolutely fun and naughty for sure!

After the KTV, we decided to chill..We want back to Rob’s Al Fresco and got some drink..(Roxanne and I drank water…haha!) We bumped into our old highschool classmate Ralph Lim…

Us girls with Ralph…he’s probably sober already in this photo…

The girls still wanna have fun so we decided to ‘drop by’ at another by..and we literally meant dropping by since we just used their comfort room!haha

We decided to part ways and Joanne and I decided to see our good friend from Davao, Omar Justin Ariete at Cafe Firenzo :D

Omar and I…I was soo sleepy already plus I was coming out with colds and cough…haha!

So that was quite a Saturday! I went to my baking class during the day and had a great time with my girls during the night…

I am looking forward to throw a real bridal shower to any of my friends…I think that will be really exciting..for now, we will just have fun and enjoy what life has to offer. That makes sense, right? After all, life is divided into different seasons….^_^

Magnum Thursday

March 22,2012

Last Thursday, we were invited by a former classmate Ralph to a yummy event.

If you are in the Philippines, you may perhaps have heard of the Magnum Fever. Magnum is an ice cream stick from Selecta that has captured many Filipinos…Just a few days after its launch in the country via various celebrities, it has intrigued a lot of people and has hyped the various social networking sites. The brand ambassadors for the country are Raymond Gutierrez (TV Host/Writer), Liz Uy (stylist), Erwan Heussaff (chef/blogger/Anne Curtis’ bf), Rajo Laurel (fashion designer) and Tessa Prieto-Valdes (socialite?).

Since I follow most of those celebrities on Twitter, I was intrigued myself. I tried going to the supermarkets and couldn’t find a single ice cream stick on stock. They told me it was not yet available in the city…

Finally I got a taste of this when my friend Marie paid me a surprise visit one afternoon. She gave me the Almond flavor. I must say the first bite was heaven! The chocolate coating was really good..however, the vanilla ice cream inside is just a so-so..

Anyway, it was obvious that the Magnum Fever had arrived in the sunny city of General Santos. I was told that only a few stores offer this yummy treat and they are fast gone…The SRP of the ice cream is only Php 50 and they are being sold to Php60 to some..

So last Thursday’s event was kind of special because Ralph has tapped a Selecta distributor to sell 1000 pieces of Magnum in one place, Robinsons Place Gensan. It was a fan-initiated event that my friends and I did not miss..

Me with my Magnums.

After we had dinner at Tiongson Arcade (where the best barbecue is!), we chilled at Kristelle’s place. It was great to see Freyti and Mommy Lelot again (since we missed them the last outing). ^_^

My next entry is about Roxanne’s birthday! :) Stay tuned!

Hello Summer 2012

March 18,2012

Eleven of us (Me, Alora, Joanne, Kristelle, John, Emoy, Kara, Roxanne, Addie, Beans, Randy) kicked off the summer with a Sunday trip to Kara’s hacienda a.k.a Packing 13.

The trip was a breath of fresh air especially for me since I was on a long hiatus for a couple of months (not to mention that I got sick…). It was a planned trip which started with a long thread of Facebook messages to finally seal the deal (thanks to social media!) :)

It looks like a pool but I think it was just about 2-feet. Kristelle explained to me that the place used to be a banana plantation. The “pool” is where they used to wash bananas. The water comes from a spring and passes through a long tube that goes to the “pool”..(or something like that) so the water keeps flowing and is absolutely fresh!

That’s Addie and Randy excited to take a dip of the fresh water…

Enjoying the cold water with Bocurtz…

Me and Joanne..when the picture was taken, we absolutely didn’t plan to take a swim..but an hour later…

Randz, Beans and Me…while I enjoy a bite of hotdog..(no, I finished three hotdogs right before we had lunch!)

An outing isn’t complete without barbecues! (I told them that morning that it wasn’t barbecue stick..instead they are called “skewers”!hahahah!)

Yum!

Yep! That was an hour later! The water was just so inviting because of the hot weather! :D

Our gracious hosts! Thanks Tito and Tita Mabaquiao! (notice they look alike? Soulmates?!)

Videoke time! Good times!

And of course…we just couldn’t help ourselves to do a “little” photoshoot…I call this shot “The Girls of Summer” We look good right?! ^_^ Preview mag lang ang peg!

And here I am..smiling brightly! But notice how much weight I lost…That’s Kara’s dress by the way since I did not bring any clothes with me…

I took this shot of Kara using Emoy’s camera…I kinda like this shot of her’s even though it’s super exposed :)

Before we left, we went to the cornfield and well..took some photos..

Alora, Emoy, Kara and I..I love how the background is so green..

So I say that summer has officially begun! Thanks to Emoy and Alora’s FB albums for the photos! :D

#GensanMagnumParty later!

Had to get back to work now! Have a great day ahead ya’ll! ^_^
